Artist in residence, AI & Apocalypse

From October 2017 to April 2018, I was the ‘AI & Apocalypse’ artist in residence at the fascinating Centre for the Critical Study of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements (CenSAMM.)

I was tasked with looking at AI and Apocalypse in relation to the Panacea Trust’s archives, and I was funded for 16 days of work in total.

Thinking about things like time, waiting, and physical empathy, I developed robotics, pixel graphics and LED work around the idea of prophesy and AI, produced a small book, and experimented with some fabric printing.

The residency website, featuring videos, animations and a PDF of the book is here, and you can read my blog about the residency, here. I do recommend visiting the Panacea Museum if you’re ever in Bedford.
